While writing about 60’s graphics, I was leafing through some old Graphis annuals. And as always, I stumble on some visual delights that still do it for me some 50 years on.

What became clear looking back at that period is that illustration, lots of illustration, was used in advertising, very much the norm and made for a far more interesting creative mix.
