Brilliant, honest and inspirational. Thank you.

Very much enjoyed this series - great mix of personal, creative and business stories, which gets across the reality of being a designer more vividly than a simple monograph. Thanks for writing it.

Wil Freeborn

Mike, thanks for your candour. An honest look into the workings of a designer and firm I've always admired.

Chris Harrison

Surely this must become a book at some point? Beautiful design, inspiring stories. Like an opera in itself. Loved reading all 6 chapters. Thank you Mike.

Peter Drew

The Dorset painting with the yellow form is just sublime.

Just wanted to say how much I've always admired your work Mike. The Designer's Designer, if I may say. "Bugger that Mike Dempsey" was a frequent thought as I opened each new D&AD annual. I paint and draw too: always have. I'm guessing but I think you must admire the work of Patrick Heron and Peter Lanyon as I do although, like Miles Davis, his later work leaves me a little cold. How Heron would have savaged the likes of Damian Hurst and Tracy Emin! Now Robert Hughes has gone. Best wishes in all you do. Andy Bristow
