Sometime design needs to be nothing more that just beautiful. These five Penguin book covers by Hans Schmoller in 1951, hit the spot. They follow styling created by Jan Tschichold post his years promoting the virtues of modernist typography.

Yes Mike you are totally right! David Pearson former designer @ Penguin was probably inspired by Tschichold and created a similar collection a few yrs back. I love book design it's really fun :) x marea
