After the harsh realities of sex trafficking over the past week (see last four posts) I needed to have my spirits lifted.
I found the key to this at Somerset House in London today. I have long been a fan of painter and sculptor Breon O’Casey. He follows in the tradition of St lves painters: William Scott, Ben Nicholson, Roger Hilton and Terry Frost. O’Casey has a delightful one-man show in the East Terrace Gallery at Somerset House.
Now in his 80s Breon O'Casey still paints each day in his Cornish studio making abstract works of joyful beauty. His sense of colour and juxtaposition of shapes is truly uplifting. Do go and see his work. Details here.
